This is a short tutorial on how to make a shadeless material that doesn’t affect other objects in Cycles.
Why would you do a shadeless in Cycles?
-Cycles can use GPU, which makes renders go much faster than Blender Internal.
-Making a shadeless material just for just one object, to render it with Blender Internal, takes a couple of steps to switch from Cycles to Internal, including nodes. Therefore, it takes some extra work if the material is in a scene where the rest has regular shaders.
-You’ll want this when you bake textures on surfaces.
