Alimayo Arango of littleguycgi.com teaches model a dragon in Blender 2.71
This is a fairly lengthy tutorial that tries to explain in depth how to model the eyes, jaws, teeth and horns of Alimayo’s dragon model.
Go to leg modeling
Go to wing modeling
Go to face details
Go to eyeball modeling
Go to teeth modeling
You can view this actual model in full 3D by clicking the link below.

Love this Video, as a beginner this was easy to follow. Thanks
I'm downloading this for reference
Too smooth. I want a high detailed dragon and this is a complete beginer tutorial like every single tutorial on this planet 😡
YOU ARE THE BEST 😀
I have one question if your dragon has two wings and 2 legs how would you model that
pls share the texturing video
Lol this took me 1 year to do but im 13 years old very fun too but I want to texture and rig the dragon pls help me
I can't figure out how to select the one side.. it just selects the hole cube, please help
Really cool tutorial! 😀 I never got how to make a dragon in Blender, so this was really helpful! Thanks a lot!
Great tutorial.thank you so much for doing these realy helped me alotso i could get the basics and do my own creations on top thanks again really inspireing. forgive my spelling
the only problem I had was once I made the "armor" for his belly and moved it back up, when I click the eye for the subdivision modifier to smooth it back out, the armor doesn't smooth out with the dragon, it stays rigid looking and doesn't match up with the contour of the body. Any suggestions? otherwise, amazing video, great tutorial and thanks for making it.
at about 32 minutes when i press Y it doesnt split it half. i have tried everything for about 10 minutes and i cant figure out what to do 🙁
Thank you so much for this. I've been fumbling with Blender and not really knowing what to do, and all of a sudden it clicked around 10:30 into the video. Still not an expert of course, but it all makes sense now. Thanks!
can you put subtitle??
Please what is tweak_R
Can i make Toothless the dragon by watching this? I am a noobie.
i got stuck at the begining and you kinda went too fast for me so i gave up on this one
You are awesome!… I love your work and the way you explain things. Thank you for making efforts to make all of this! 🙂
I've started to model. I'll use some glossy/difuse shader for the body. Which shader should I use for the eyes ?
You sound like Michael Bolton lol
Got no one to teach me this can tutorials help me learn how to design and also make my own staff too?
One tip I'm using to not having to switch between views is that I always have 4 3d windows for left, front, top and perspective/camera arranged like in most cad programs (or like in level editors for games like Quake or half life), this makes things easier.

"You're going to hit ctrl and the right middle mouse button…"
It took the longest time for me and my simple mind to realize that it could have been a mistake in words instead of my own operator error, and I doubt anyone else had this problem but for the longest time i was watching and rewatching that part trying to figure out how ctrl and the middle mouse button could keep from zooming in ^-^; it was the first time so far that I had had to use the right mouse button so the word "right" just didn't make it through…. hehe…. heh…
(By the way awesome tutorial!!!)
nice turtorial didnt have tiime to see it nice video, ive been learning blender recently so can u suggest any go0d turtorial just like what u did here ?
Hello
I up-grade to Windows 10Pro and isn’t showing thumbnail images anymore, as I did in Win7, the content & preview for “ .blend” files in the folder I have saved them. I can see any PNG or JPEG thumbnail & preview …Please advice!!! It is a great tool for selecting the right file faster!
Thank you, Mic
At 7:20 I have the mirror modifier with clipping enabled but when I go to make if wider, it just splits, can I get some help?
I don't like how you do the eyes though, espicially since i'm learning to model things for games. The eye part is um…….not so good
Thanks for the videos sir
WOW! Is just so amazing… i'm actually learning how to use blender (I've model some swords but that's quite easy) and i wanted to do something realistic. Your dragon is so amazing! And I'm Spanish and i could understand your English just perfect. Thanks for your effort!
I want to watch this whole tutorial but I just don't have time. ;-;
