  1. 2:47 u can solve this problem by selecting the upper face (the face u cut a hole in) and hold shift right click and then using the triangulate tool, this will fix your ngon (ngon is a polygon with more than 4 vertices) and turn it into a polygon, this will clean your geometry and enable u to further modify your model like the guy in the tutorial was doing without artifacts appearing.
