wtf? ..I am using Mozilla Firefox and this function tell me that i use Netscape..how they are related?-
I saw that you have the same result:)
Wow.Gave me much more info.Thanks.Keep in mind this was 2008,though.
The navigator object, especially with appName, is unreliable. Detect features instead or if you really insist on "navigator", use userAgent!
for some reason , this does not work for me. I typed it exactly as you did.
you can always get the open source version like BlueFish, or why not use vim and the appropriate plugins for suggestions and tag enclosure.
@bucky Google chrome also shows Netscape, then what is the use of this object?
Oh, so this is Bucky. Why don't you start out you tutorials with: "What's up guys, this is Bucky," like in your other tutorials?
Add your period.
@FreddieBambino Google Chrome also writes Netscape! Any explanation?
How come it says netscape when im using chrome?
i love this man YOU ARE SO GREAT MAN THANK YOU BROTHER:))))))
@mc10wp Thanks for navigator.userAgent =D

Hmmm…..
I'm on Safari 5.0.4 and it says Netscape
document.write("You're using " + navigator.appName + " v" + navigator.appVersion + " on a " + navigator.platform + " platform.");

HI BUCKY
what is that program you use to make your screen get bigger then back to normal like that?
@kimi2111 That would be covered in an HTML tutorial, rather a javascript one.
@thenewboston I'd love it if you could do some on Jquery, as it's confusing to try to learn if by reading. ๐ Thanks a ton! ๐
It's spelled you're, not youre
firefox is netscape family. there are 3 families IE, NETSCAPE and OPERA
I have the same problem! I want to find one of these lists of available commands that are supposedly "everywhere". But they don't seem to exist at all!
It says Netscape with Firefox, Netscape Navigator and Google Chrome because they are all built on the Mozilla application platform. When JavaScript was originally designed the only real browser systems in place were IE, Netscape Navigator and Opera. So those are the only three names that will be output by appName.
3:18 your not using netscape, your using firefox!
WTF???
I have Google Chrome and it says netscape….
