Lenses for Landscape photography

Here’s a quick look at my favorite lenses for landscape photography. Shot in the beautiful Conwy Valley, North Wales. I hope to see you on one of my workshops some day: http://ricksammon.com/2014-worksops/

  1. Hi Rick what lens would you use to have your subject in your background both in focus. Example if you were at Machu Picchu and you wanted to take a photo of the background and who your with what lens will you use

  2. hi Rick, I just bought my first lens. I have a DX Nikon D5500 and decided to go expensive at AU$3,000 for this lens. f/2.8G – 70-200 mm tell me a little more about this please. Easy my pain, that it is rather heavy but what is you view on this for landscape and taking high buildings for a good sharp image, especially say, cathedrals.

  3. Thanks for sharing that, Rick. I have the 17-40mm lens as well but I have been considering selling it for a 16-35 f/2.8, but I'm just not sure if the extra stop is worth that extra cost.
