  1. Very good, thank you for posting Ed.

I am a long time Photoshop user, new to Lightroom. I wonder if there is a way to crop an image to a given pixel range, for example 1920×1080 to display on a screen and crop a series of photos to the same size. I am used to being able to set this up in Photoshop, but can't figure out how to do it in Lightroom.

I will greatly appreciate some feedback.

  2. Ed, I loved you video. You explained everything in such a simple way. I love the keyboard shortcuts, and the different overlays.

Is there a way to crop two similar images identically and view them side by side to compare sharpness?
    Thank you.

  3. Is there a way to crop outside the area covered by the original photo? This could sometimes come in handy if you know you are going to use content aware fill i photoshop later, e.g. after having used a transform operation in lightroom that has left a corner of the photo 'blank'.

  4. how can I undo the crop and do another crop , I need to crop for developing different size photo with different aspect ratio 10:7 3:2 4:3 etc. Or even best is if I can duplicate the original photo and crop it. This is a real world problem thanks for any help.

  5. big disappointment. All I wanted to know was how to change a horizontal to vertical which you MENTIONED at the beginning of the tutorial but NEGLECTED to show how to do it. Am I right? How to do that please ?

  6. I just purchased Lightroom bc I have been sitting for hours editing lacrosse game photos. Each game I take about 400 Varsity and 400 Junior Varsity Game Photos. My question to you is: Can I permanently set a crop on Lightroom? I would like to crop each photo to a 4×6 or a 5×7. Or do I always need to go up and touch one of those preferences? Life would be so much easier if there was a shortcut. My next question is for printing would you recommend that I crop to a 4×6 or 5×7? Thanks in advance! Kris
