  1. Hey great videos keep em up. Could u do an evee tutorial on how to get nice looking buildings in unity 2018?
Like diffuse, spec, normal and ambient occlusion maps.

I tried ur cycles tutorial and the reaults where weird in unity.

    Cheers dude.
    Phil

  2. Thanks, this is covering a lot of aspects of blender and now i know why to bake cause i was painting directly on meshes with default grey materials to import models in game engines.
But baking materials gives you a solid base for texturing as you showed here.
Also there ´s a ton of blender features
That i don ´t use and it takes ages without using those features so
    Thanks!

  3. Incredible tutorial. Was looking for a tutorial on exactly this type of architecture and have been practicing low poly designs for various other assets. Being a relative novice with Blender it was fantastic to learn so many techniques along the way as well – thank you so much for putting the time and effort into making such an in-depth tutorial!

  4. 27:40 a slightly faster way of doing this is to just press shift-H (isolate selected) instead of inverting selection and then hiding. I used to do that all the time till I discovered shift-H. There are tons of tricks up blender's sleeve, sometimes I'll go months thinking "this should be a feature!!" only to find out it was all along.

  5. Note: an "Asian Style Temple" is called a Pagoda. They evolved from temple designs in India- the Hindu Mandala and the Buddhist Stupa burial mound- and were brought to Japan and China by Buddhism. There is a lot of variety in the Pagoda form because it is ancient.

  6. Have been watching some of your tutorials and they are really helpful! I just have one question. When unwrapping your mesh wouldn't it save more space if all your roof tiles were over lapping one on top of the other so that instead of Four you'd have one. It would save a lot of space In my opinion…But I could be wrong, that is what I'd like to be cleared, is there a reason why you didn't just place similar UVs on top of each other?

  7. You are really great at this! How do you know which one is which while you are organizing the UV map. I tried it myself, and I had to check every time, because I don't know is it part of wall or is it just a door. It is annoying sometimes… 🙁

  8. Hi Michael, as always, very great Tutorial with a ton of modelling tips.
I see the "tabs" (don't know the english word for it – you can open it on right side pressing "n" and on the left with "t") are transparent. I'm searching like crazy where I can change some settings, have you got a tip for me?

  9. DUDE you are a B.A teacher! Literally one of the most descriptive tut's, i've found on here. Ive checked out three of your videos on here and ive gotten alot better from watching these three, than watching like 50+ tut's. For now on my place to go for blender tut's. BRAVO Man!!! (btw if i had to suggest something, try to do a lil more with like buildings and stuff if you could, maybe some unwrapping methods you've found that work well) Had one question for ya if you see this.. have you worked with any game engines at all? *hopefully unity xD… only reason i ask is cause im trying to get a good workflow with blender and unity. But one last time kick ass job on your videos bro.

  10. Your tutorial is amazing. I was spending lots of time making this and that and when I see your video I was like, wow! If only I knew about this video earlier. But nevermind, the texturing tutorial is really nice too. Recommended for everyone <3

  11. Hey man,
I've ran into two of your tutorials so far, and you have a new sub. I'm still fresh into blender, however am comfortable enough to try new styles.. With that said, I appreciate how you explain the tools in a clear manner as you use them. I'm making the temple today.. (always watch the videos through once before to be a bit more informed)
Anyway, thanks in advanced this will be fun ^^) Also do you have a website or something? or are you focusing on youtube?
