Quite awhile ago I created a Logo tutorial much like this one but in order to do it quickly I had to leave some stuff out. So, in this enhanced tutorial about using Illustrator curves for creating 3D logos in Maya, yours truly, Stuart Christensen, will give you a full rundown on creating curves in Illustrator with the pen tool, and bring these curves into Maya for 3D conversion. There’s lot’s of small things to keep in mind and some pitfalls to look out for when importing Illustrator files. Hopefully, this tutorial will serve anyone who has to deal with this stuff from a single job, or day in and out use.
