This tutorial will show you how to setup and play a simple animation / simulation in Autodesk Maya 2016 with domino bricks. It involves active and passive rigid bodies, dynamics, gravity fields etc. If you enjoy the video, likes and subscriptions are appreciated.

Thank you for making this new video . In the previous one i couldn't find the functions . I just started with maya 2016 .
After I did that and I want to make more it simply doesn't work, like the original stuff is fine but can't add anything on to it?
Could you use this method to drop items in a realistic pile and then save that mesh??? as opposed to placing every item one by one tediously
hi I used the gravity but I had to create my own gravity field? it wont let me proceed and used gravity on the objects
can i run maya 2016 smoothly on my pc " My pc specification is NVIDIA 940M 2GB, RAM 8GB, i5 processor
How do I make this repeat? Like if I want the sphere and dominoes to reset again and tumble continuously.
Dude, You would never how much i appreciated that. And also I just started with not only 3d, but also maya. 3ds Max seems a little bit complex for me
cool Mike .
I have to wonder; how would you animate long things such as an 8 minute video? I presume you need multiple scenes since Maya seems to have a small main space.
hey, I am working on simple gravity (falling rocks) and for some reason the gravity field does not affect duplicates, only the original meshed, even though they are rigid bodies linked with the gravity field. Any idea why this may be?
thanks for the free tacos
Helpful but this is not animation. Title's misleading imo
I have done the same but my objects dont fall when i play

Good, but I am looking for a tutorial on keyframe animation.
Really cool video. Just looking at getting into it, how much does the software cost to use or is there some kind of Student version? Thanks for your help!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! This video is awesome and I subscribed to you just because it was exactly what I needed. Although, how do you change the weight of the falling object? And could you make it break apart on impact (like a building collapsing)? If so, how? Thank you! ^w^
Mike, Thank you for the tutorial, it is a very fun project for beginner!
