  1. Hy! it seems I have a problem whem rendering with mental ray, I have a floor as a pasive object, and a shattered cube as an active, in the software everithing seems fine but in the render the cube passes throu the floor

  2. hi, I have problem. When I use Bullet and active active rigid body, maya says "// Error: Failed to create evaluator for "drawdb/geometry/bulletRigidBodyShape" classification because the current drawing API isn't supported.". I have maya 2017. Could you help me? 🙁

  4. Hi,can I ask a question?
    When I select all these cubes and click "Active Rigid Body",after that when I select the bulletSolver in the outliner,all these cubes are surround by white lines as if they are selected(but these cubes are not selected in outliner),when no object in the outliner is selected it is still the same,how do I solve this?
    I would appreciate if you can answer,thank you.

  5. hi Mike, when I use the bullet in my scene, the object disappears and I have on the translate attributes "Infinity". It isn't in the center of the world, it is the reason, because when I did it on a new scene, it's working. If the matter subsists, how can i export the animation of a falling object from a clean scene to the other scene? Thx

  6. Hi Mike, am trying to follow this tutorial but the "ground plane" option is not in my bulletsolvershape1, solver properties. Any way I can bring it back up or relocate it? I am using Maya 2014 just for your information.

  7. i've been battling with bullet all day and come to the conclusion it utterly sucks! I have a heap of rock geometry shapes, i set them as a rigid set setting them to hull object (or cube or sphere it literally makes no difference!), i then create a simple poly cube to act as a floor but they just fall straight through it.

    unique names, no history, transforms frozen – you name it i've been through it – bullet wont play ball – its utterly crap!

    its cute if i want to make cubes fall onto an invisible ground plane but for anything real its terrible – lost a day of my life to this rubbish!

    sorry i'm angry and venting lol!

  8. Hi Mike. I'm trying to apply a passive rigid body to a tube that i made for a ball to go through, problem is that it's literally going straight through it like it's air. I used ep curve tool and a cylinder that i extruded. Does it have anything to do with it? I also checked collider type to mesh, and still same result. (Same result for all collider types)

  9. Great stuff as usual, Mike. I had a question. I'm experimenting and creating something similar to your demonstration, however I want the ball to be "rolling" through the stack as it's falling. I tried the ball as a passive rigid body and it didn't move so I turned it into an active rigid body. I needed to reanimate the movement to the ball but the cubes don't collide with it, it just passes right through. Suggestions?

  10. PLEASE HELP!! I turned on bullet, but no longer need it anymore. Whenever i scrub through my timeline, some objects get positioned oddly and whenever i re position them, they just go back to the same spot whenever i scrub again. How do i 'disable' bullet?

  11. Hey Mike big fan! I'm pretty new to maya and I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to model a clone commando. Mainly how to model the armor. If you can't do the whole thing just the helmet would be nice. Thanks again for all the help!

  12. Omg!! Is there a way to do this on Maya 2011?
    can I install the Bullet plugin manually for maya 2011? please yes..
    I really can't use a higher version than 2011 in maya, because I can't Export it to the game engine then…
