I break down the process of creating stitching for a boot and wrapping it around a boot. In this video you’ll learn how to extract curves from edges, clean up curves, create patterns using MASH, and how to use the Curve Warp deformed. I also include an alternate workflow is you do not have a version of Maya that has MASH.

Hey,awesome tutorial..but how did you apply the bend deformer
what is MASH? is it mesh or anything else?
When you unfold, go into the options, turn on pack save settings to default, and now you wont need to rotate your UV islands!
thank you!
Really damn cool!
omg very much tank thanks
you could smooth the shoes then extract the curve it will follow exact same the edge then delete smoothed version then you have the smooth curve .very nice tutorial by the way .
nice tut thanks. Plz also mention in the title that it's Maya 2018.
Very nice tutorial. Thanks for sharing
As much as I love maya I will keep on using insert mesh on Zbrush for my stitches.
You could subdivide a couple times the copy and extract the curves in linear mode from that high res mesh
Awesome video, make more, please.
where is create index in uv editor in maya 2017
you're a beautiful man i hope you know that
no matter what I do, whenever I attempt to curve warp, the stitching gets offset from the curve – no ideas why! – any ideas?! (Everything's been frozen)
