Here, I cover the very basics of making a printable object using Maya 2015, as well as a simple intro into the object making world.

thank you so much id been looking for a way to fuse objects
Okay, the first thing you say is that a 3D printed object smoothened fith "numPad 3" will not me smooth.
How do you smooth it then?
Help please. when i try to export it, it says:
// Error: line 0: Could not save file "/test.stl".
Even if I try to export a simple cube. plugin enabled, history deleted, no overlapping faces. im using maya every day and there is nothing wrong with my model. still getting the error.
Excellent tutorial, thanks!

Thank you, very good video. Exactly what I was looking for.
Never use boolean to make holes in an object.
It messes up the geometry.
Thank you for the video!
Ladies know how to teach. Thank You very much for the lesson.
I just realized my Maya settings was set up to create a room in animation and not at default settings. Either way, I must say that you have a very nice way of giving lessons. We are currently looking for people just like you to help in building an Academy. I would love to speak with you. If not, great job and I wish you the best of luck. Thanks again. 🙂
Hi Alexiaviolet, I'm new to 3D printing on my own and I am trying to really understand how to use this device from the dashboard end. The wall I keep crashing into is with the scale of the object once brought into the printer dashboard. I use Cube 3 dashboard from 3DS and when I pull the STL, it comes in rather large. I have been working with Maya for years so I understand the grid and how to measure, but there is obviously an error in what I'm doing because the model keeps coming in far to large. Can you assist?
