Say, Maya 2017 has come and I noticed that the right mouse menu has disappeared. Do you know where it's gone? I like ikt, but have to use F8 to F12 now.
thanks alot 🙂
i downloaded this plugin called MayaFPS. Makes things a ton easier for the camera. Cant find anything like it for 3dsmax tho :/
Appreciate the average 5 minutes length video. Its good for me to find the spots I need to re-watch. Thanks.
I come from a background of blender, and I am just learning maya. I have to say this is the best series on youtube I have ever seen.
+1 subscriber!
very helpful, thanks so much 🙂
You should have put this and the fourth video in your series together and make it the first video, by far the best introduction to Maya I´ve seen, your first 3 Maya videos made me terrified of Maya you didn´t even say how to navigate the user interface until the fourth video. Good thing you did. But like I said, this was a really good video
Hello, when I hold down the right mouse button I get different options, such as control vertex, isoparm and surface point, how do I get yours?
great!Thank you!
how to delete all at a time?
It's all in preference. I like the feel of having all the main tools in front of me. Plus you can modify the key binds to your liking. 🙂
Are you serious?.. I mean, just look at those shortcuts, move – w, rotate – e, scale – r? what the fuck?
me tooo:)
Just migrated from blender, maya is so much better. So clean.
thanx 4 d upload man…lukin' 4wad to learn 4rom 'em…

Oh jesus christ, it was the soft selection. I pressed B and now everything's all right =D
In my chase, when I try to select the edge (same thing for vertex and face), the whole objet is selected and the wire becomes yellow, with big vertices of the same color. When I try with the tools, the objet reescales in a weird form, and translating itself out of the original point where it was (0,0,0). Could you please tell me how to solve it? Becouse I'm afraid that, if this doesn't work, then I won't be able to model, at least in the same way that you teach in the tutorials =(
First from all, great job with the tutorial series. Maya is a huge program and, for people like me who do not have any idea of it, your tutorials are the perfect way of start learning. Thanks a lot for your effort. Now, I'm using Maya 2013 and I'm in trouble. I've followed all the steps that you've done in the video and when I try to edit an edge (vertex, face or whatever) with the tools (rotate, scale, move) I do not get the resoult that you get in 09:40 or 12:36 .
Great tutorial! Thanks
Halfway there. I think I can do this!
This is exciting tut,
WOULD U PLZ post some text manipulations
Thank you for this great tutorials. They really make learning this stuffy easy
