  1. Hey SJ K! Thanks alot for making this tutorial. Your voice is clear, no mumbing ;). Also your video is slow enough for beginners with Maya. My result was a bit more like a icy-snowball, but anyhow it cools real enough and ppl cannot really know the difference between real one! So keep on going with your tuts mate! :] Btw, you happended to know any free software like Premiere?

  2. just a tip for shading snow use sub surface scattering instead of diffuse. Also for the simulation make adjustments to the damping and conserve values to get a more snow like feel. You can also use Arnold Volume shader along with noise textures to have more control over the depth in light scattering inside the snowball.
