  1. Hey Matt, Great Tutorial.
Question: We are making an animation (student project) where we have 2-3 Raptors chasing an animal. They run, they jump over obstacles and eventually do a bite while running etc. Its a very dynamic and long (like 20sec) sequence.
What would you suggest as a good approach to create this type of animation? We already have all the characters rigged and ready for animation.
Hoping for some advice from you soon.

  2. Hi, quick question here. I have an animation allready on a character set, but when i add it to an animation clip like in the video the character just stops moving. Is there something wrong? It only recovers the animation when i press the "activate keys" option.
Also i tryed to exprot the animation clip into another file (same model, same rig) but it didn´t take, the clip never showed up on the trax editor.

  3. Hello, matt I have a question, win I duplicate the animation on the trax editor the second clip makes my model twist around. It happens even when I try to extend the animation. The animation only works on the first clip? What I am I doing wrong.

  4. Nice tutorial man I didn't relaize it was so similar to motionbuilder storyblend but mobu is better with a few more features which might be in the latest mata.

  5. Can anyone help me?
I have followed this tutorial but when i come to animate my character, i can only animate a few controls like the legs, but when i animate the arms the just stay in the last frame i placed them in?

  6. Hey. Really good tutorial! Regarding that weapon control and parenting, I've tried to add parent constraints from the weapon control to COG and L and R hands. This woks fine and with the toggling too but I'm struggling to figure out how I can connect that attribute from the shapes node to another control for ease of access like you've done. Normally I'd just Add Attribute and then link the sttributes together in the Connection Editor but i can't find the constraint attribute in the list within this editor.

So my question is, how did you manage to link the attributes?

    Thanks for the tut!

  7. Hi, thanks for the great tutorial! But i was wondering if you could help. I'm having trouble with trax editor with a referenced rig. I can't seem to add more than one animation clip on it. The first animation clip works fine but when I scrub through the next clip, the rig will break. I've already checked the the channel offsets but it didn't do anything. Any idea what's wrong? Thanks a lot. 🙂

  8. Nice tutorial. I'm new to Trax editor since I'm focused on modelling and this really helped me get started. One question though: Once you've done the animation with Trax editor, is there a way to "bake" it to keyframes?

  9. I forgot to use my reference editor so I wanted to transfer my animation from my old character to my new one my exporting through the trax editor. Weirdly my exporter is bugged but surprisingly you can just copy and paste frames between characters instead! which was perfect and fast!
