  1. I'm working on a project in maya atm and I'm trying to keep the model not too high poly. So far i've got a bump map on it. In regards to making a model looks as realistic as possible. Is there a process i should go through. So model it, uv, bump map, specular, AO, normal and render. Also is there ways to enhance rendering cause maya render is not superb. Thanks! Great video by the way.

  2. This is exactly what I need. I am trying to create Mods for Farming Sim 15 and can do the modelling bit. Really struggle with textures as I do not understand what I am trying to accomplish. FS uses normal, specular and diffuse textures. Could explain what these are for? Also if I have a more complex model do I just sew all the edges together no matter how complex to get the UV?

  3. These tutorials are great, but one thing always throws me: why do you use interactive creation if you're just going to change every setting manually anyway? Why not just the shift-right click shortcut?

  4. Just a quick note mike, you dont need to worry about the UV's on the high poly at all.
if you need any info about making low poly stuff or creating norals just Ask me as i am seeing a few things that could be changed when doing these types of things

  5. Hi Mike, let me ask you a question, if for saying a client want to know how many polys in a model they need for a game. when going to Maya on the display section and check box the poly count, so my question is, can the  render the poly count number on render image ?
