Maya & Vray Tutorial – How to create Cloth Shaders / Advanced material workflows HD

Check out this awesome Maya & Vray tutorial where Oasim will go over explaining how to create some realistic soft cloth shaders inside Maya using V-Ray, this technique actually works on any type of renderer. Oasim will start by explaining how to create a really simple cloth shader that you can use in your cartoony projects, and then he’ll show you the “standard” cloth technique, and finally he’ll build an awesome shader network that will blow your mind!

  1. Hi ! Nice tutorial 🙂

I just have one question… I am doing it with arnold, not VRay and I don't find something good enough
to replace the VrayBlendmtl, any idea ? Can I do it with just layered texture ?

  2. Nice tutorial on how to set up shaders to get different fabric effects, but you really need a different bump map and texture for each different weave (BTW, the texture you chose is a knitted fabric, not a woven one)… 😉
