I’m making the character “HATSUNE Miku” in Blender, upper half of body is ready now. So, I tried creating animation with my 3D model.

  1. If you don’t understand why people are calling it disgusting – it’s an uncanny valley effect. It happens when parts of brain has trouble to tell if something you see is human or not. It basically looks like this:
    1 part of brain: “Yeah, that’s human”
    2 part of brain: “No way that’s a human”
    1 part of brain: “Hmm… maybe, you’re right… We shouldn’t trust it, because it tried to confuse us!”
    2 part of brain: “Yeah! That’s kinda scary!”

  2. Ah, I miss Blender. I used it in one of my high school classes. I can definitely say that this looks awesome! I have a basic understanding of the software, and while it can be frustrating, (like when I tried to put it in mirror mode so that way it would make making a head or just a whole body in general, a lot easier), trying to get that to work without having duplicate points was frustrating. This was wonderful and Miku was super cute! It looked complex, but then again, the most I could do was make a cube go around a track that I made! 😂
