Constructive comments / critique are always welcome. This is my first tutorial, I expect to improve a lot over time.

Part2 is about how to add the tread, and how to deform the wheel to show the weight of the vehicle (can be animated):

Thanks for watching.

  1. Fantastic tutorial Zoltan! Way to go. My only suggestion would be, when adding a cylinder, always say what kind of end-cap you are using (N-gon, fan, or none). That way the follower doesn't have to guess at it. But thank you a ton for this well-made and easy to follow video series. Looking forward to the tread.

  2. Hello, I have a quick question. At 11:15 you snapped all the points together how do you do that? I am wondering because all I see is G, and all that does for me is move the point/vertex. So I am wondering what else do I need to push to get it to snap.

  3. ok so ya that did the trick now my issue is with the subdivide. how do i get it to subdivide into that rounded shape that you use to shape the tire itself? when i keep hitting subdivide it just keeps dividing the four cross cuts

  4. ok so im really new to blender and know this isnt really the best 1st project to attempt but hey so what right lol ok well im hung up on a part right around 1:20 after you scale the plane you hit scale and rotate and then add some details. well when i do that it doesnt divide the section like it looked in your model i also tried the subdivide and it split it into 4 squares instead of 4 rectangles. so ya how do i get the rubber to take form like you did with that grid insert that you had to help form the curve of the rubber?
