  1. Thank you this was very helpful , my only recommendation would be to try the curve modifier alongside the array modifier for a more precise spacing of the threads , it will save you to manually eyeball the position of the last thread

  2. this is a great tutorial man , you should really start doing more videos like this , i would love to learn how to builds trucks/cars for the pc game spintires? you hear of that game? please do some more tutorials.

Cool trick I learned is instead of cutting the pattern manually with the knife, select the cutting object (here the pattern) then the object being cut (the tire) in object mode, press TAB to go into edit mode, align to the view of projection (here the top view) and press SPACE "Knife Project". It cuts everything by itself.

  4. to get the threads cut into the wheel you could also use knife project. if you go in detail with the threads it helps a lot if you use knife project. its also pretty easy to use once you know how to.

  5. Thanks for the awesome tutorial. For users with a little experience in blender it works wonders!

    A tip: For the projection of the profile onto the wheel,
    instead of manually cutting every bit, you can use Knife Project:

    In Object mode,
    RMB the "cutting object",
    SHIFT-RMB the object to be cut,
    change to Edit mode,
    Knife Project.

    If it didn't get everything just correct with Knife 🙂
