I'm so new to this and I tried so many videos but for some reason even it says it's an intro or for beginners video I still can't relate, and I'm glad i found yours. Now I have better understanding and prep my mind before I go further. Thank you!

OK…I get the gist of 1st normal, 2nd normal etc., but unsure if I should create an “address” table to put the street, city, zip of my customers AND my employees (with an address ID as primary key and foreign keys linking the address table to the customer table and employee tables) or just put their address info in their respective customer table and employee table. Is having address in two tables redundant? Some examples I see online even have a separate table for names of cities and states, and it looks like you recommend that when you mentioned city and governor (I think you mean mayor, btw I am gonna keep watching because I believe you’re gonna show me! Thanks again, Caleb!

Caleb, Your videos (so far, the first few) are an awesome review of what I've been trying to learn in classes and books. I especially appreciated your "big picture" overview of how HTML, CSS, SQL and PHP work together but play different roles on a website. Basic but rarely summarized like you did. Thank you!

I really like this series. The fact of putting data on a chalkboard, to understand just what we want to represent digitally, where it's all derived from, is really smart. Great job Caleb!

this is brilliant! thanks.A general question (which might be answer later on your next videos) Do I create the tables directly from Mysql workbench or should I use s combination of workbench and Excel for mysql??

I run a successful small business and am expanding my services to include DB subscriptions for my clients to use. I have very little time to learn new skills (I keep looking for help, but keep seeing mirrors). But, this series has been of great benefit to me. I greatly appreciate the content, presentation, knowledge and obvious passion for the subject. Please know that your attitude and willingness to provide this service-especially at your age-will bring you good things. Keep it up and know that you are really helping people out.
