3:05 ASCII allows for 256 characters not 128.
please help, when storing the Hindi language data in a field in the database table using utf8 the phpmyadmin shows the value in the field with some funny characters and not in the hindi language. how to see in Hindi ?

is encoding the same as character set? i use sequel pro on a mac and in the table description it shows Charset=latin1 and under encoding it says cp1252 West European(latin1). so i guess its the same thing but was still wondering :p
