  1. While watching your great tutorial, Mike, I noticed that the version 2.79 that I have doesn't have the encoding section in the presets. The output and bake is there but no encoding section in between them.

  2. I wanted to let you know that I love your tutorials. They are extremely straight forward and easy to follow. I have just started a new youtube channel and have edited my trailer with Blender. I am by no means a professional yet, but seeing as how I tend to be completely computer illiterate, this has been a huge help. Thank you

  3. Hello mr Mikeycal Meyers, Your videos are inspiring saves me a lot of time in my workflow , i never have to switch again to another package after rendering my animations…. Thank you very much for the encouragement and proving that blender is a complete replacement package for adobe editing products. some of my speed modelling edited in blender https://youtu.be/uBS8PDs6Bfo , wont be possible without your videos….

  4. I just want to say a great thank you for this tutorial series, been following along using 2.79b. Its nice to learn that a favorite program of mine had a feature I was totaly unaware of and that is easy and intuative to use. Encoding times are long though, so Ill give your script a run next time. So thank you for this tutorial!

  5. I have learn so much from watching your mobvies 😀 Thank you so so so much, You are an angel 😀 I am having some trouble with actually seeing my already cut movies in the preview window, anyone knows what it could be?

  6. So, what is the "ideal" settings for our DEFAULTS now? – Your other videos for this are now out-of-date. I did the presets as per your most recent video on this and "guessed" the rest but the YouTube quality seems VERY LOW … I must have messed something up. You need to do at least an update on how to configure defaults. (Or answer me here. 😉 )

  7. Are you going to remake all the videos for 2.8? I have watched all your blender videos, some multiple times for reference. Your videos are what got me to take the dive and edit video, I learned so much from them. Thanks for your effort.

  8. Hay i found a way were i don't need handbrake and spend hours converting a video to from 50 to 60 fps…my videos are almost 1 hour long lol… it is simple if you have a 60 fps intro and the video is not the same fps..after you use speed control so the audio is in sync. Go to Strip and select Meta strip.. Then you can cut up the video without the worry the audio going out of sync 😀 but thanks for everything tho.

  9. I just found an even better way of speeding up audio when you have the video and audio on the time line..go to pitch and increase to your liking. Then just add speed control to the video and simply match what pitch you done up with multiply speed. And there you have it so no more extracting audio anymore 😉😀

  10. Hi i need help with something i can't seam to find help anywhere else…right i have a 60 fps intro and a recording of a game that recorded at 50 fps so after i matched them up on the timeline and dragged the video to audio of the game recording. Then i right clicked in the main video then when to Add and click Speed control..i unchecked stretch to input strip to length and with it being a 60 fps output i did the 50 by 60 so i got 0.833 i put that in and the audio was perfect. I then put on my audio of my voice
and it sync up right away with the video..but the problem happen when i tried to trim the beginning i put the green line right were i wanted to trim it and delete it i made sure the audio of my voice and video and audio of the video was cut at the same point. But after i deleted to part i didn't want it was out of sync again i tried adding another Speed control and it did nothing. if you have any ideas that would be great thank you.

  11. Greetings Mikeycal ! I watch your vids more than any others on Blender ! I have not watched them all(yet!). Do you have one that will show me how to pan and zoom my videos and images while in the video editor (using keyframes etc.) ? That would be great ! Thank again so many well done and well explained tutorials !

  12. seriously .. proxy making seems totally broken .. is there something im missing or ? ..
im just creating the proxy as normal .. selecting the file then rebuild proxy timecode indicies and its really NOT playing back the video at the proper frame rate after creating the proxy .. is there anything different i need to know about how to do this in 2.79 or is the proxying process just totally broken now?

  13. Thanks mike for all your vids on blender and your script. You're the reason why i got into the video-editing-part of blender. It's such a nice portable swiss army knife across different operating systems.

  14. Mike I want to personally thank you for taking the time to teach us noobs into the world of blender video editing. You made me fall in love with blender and this has made a very positive impact in my professional life. Also I am having fun learning as I had not had in a very long time.

  15. Hi Mikeycal, I want to suggest you to take a look at Natron software. It is a free and open-source composer / editor with features similar to After Effects and Nuke. There are some tutorials on YouTube, but not a complete series like your Blender Video Editor series.
