field blur is not accessible in my photoshop, I am using cs6

Hmm. Field blur is greyed out for me. Edit: turns out, if the layer isn't a Smart Object, Field blur shows up. Yes, I'm using CS6.
i have photoshop cs6 2012 edition but it does not show night from day file
To repeat the lens flare on Windows it is ctrl + alt + F
