  30. Hello, is this solution better than using a light box ? I have seen a lot of product photography video are in truth, very rarely have I seen a video such as yours without any sort of light box.

    Sir, please give me a tip for choosing a right camera + lens for artificial jewelry and Ladies Vanity big. The first one requires sharp image & realistic images.

    I have a choice of Canon 700d (18-55, 55-250mm lens combo), Nikon d5300 (18-55, 55-200mm lens combo) and Sony Alpha 58 (18-55, 55-200mm lens combo). 

    Studio guys are recommending me to buy Macro 100mm lens from manufacturer or compatible sigma or Tamron.

    Please recommend me cheapest way to save money on product shoot for Artificial & imitation  jewelry and outdoor product shoots.

  35. Newbie question. re product photography. Using Still lighting. Using canon and colur checker card. I make glass art. Each piece is the same size and shape, but each piece is made of many different colours. Im using f8 – iso 100 . Am i doing this correctly. I switch to manual. I take a photograph of my white card in front of my art. i set this as custom white balance. i then half click when camera at full zoom is focused on the cross hair on the GRAY card. I scroll until the lines on the vertical meter (exposure compensation) are at zero. i then photograph the white card again, and set this as the white balance. i then put camera on tripod and photograph, but before i full click i notice the meter is not at zero, i think i understand why, so i take my picture of my art with the colour checker in there also . when i swap the art over that was originally a dark piece, for a piece that is light in colour, the photograph produces an over exposed result. 
    What am i doing wrong ?

  37. Excellent video – but i have a question. I make glass art. Each piece is the same size and shape, but each piece is made of many different colours. My question is, once i set up my camera to shoot a blue clock, will i need to make any adjustments if i swap the blue clock for a green one , or a black one then a white one ? Im using canon with macbeth color chart
