Experimenting with some more realistic texturing and lighting. I’m moving away from keva planks that are orange, and towards them being more real keva / kapla plank coloured.

I used textured and volumetric lighting to make the scene more interesting, as well as HDR ambient lighting.

At 4:37, there are 2 sets of information in a row without a clip for the first one. The 6048 plank building that took 18 days to render is the one at 4:57. Unfortunately I didn’t notice this until after I uploaded it.

  1. Ya know, you can do the same with a few dollars worth of wood, a slow motion camera and a bowling ball. Use RealLife® plug-in for instant rendering at more than a million fps. File exporting might be a little tricky, there are people working on that.

  2. the one with the twin white towers fell in an eerily similar fashion to how the WTC twin towers fell on 9/11/2001. Dunno if anyone else gets those vibes but that is true with me.

  3. Why the fuck did you make all the planks bouncy? That's not realistic xDDDDD

    Also, HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GET SUCH PHOTOREAL GRAPHICS? THIS LITTLE TECH DEMO HAS BETTER GRAPHICS THAN LITERALLY ANY GAME OUT IN THE EARTH RIGHT NOW.
