  1. I learned a lot from this video. I tried making my bones in Gmax but it doesn't seem that the skeleton doesn't get exported into the obj format. I think I may still opt to create and map my meshes in Gmax but after watching this video, I think Blender may do a a more efficient job of skinning.

  2. Heyo! Love the video! Really informative! I have, hopefully, a small problem. I followed the steps from the video but now when I tried to parent the mesh to the armatures with automatic weighting Blender keeps telling me "Bone Heat Weighting: Failed to find one or more solutions…." Is there something I am doing wrong by chance? Hope to hear back from ya so! Thank you advance!

  3. Bro!! I have been wanting to learn how to rig characters for a long time but everything I found was either too hard or not free. But this!?!? This totally NAILED IT for basic concepts that I TOTALLY needed. Great job Grant Abbitt. Like for you!!
