Mr. H here with a new character modeling tutorial in Maya 2016. In this beginner lesson we are going to model a teddy bear. We’ll be using the reference images we created in last weeks lesson. We start with a cube and subdivide it and start to block out the basic shape of the bear. Then we’ll model the head and ears. After that we’ll do the arms and legs. Finally we’ll add buttons for eyes. We’ll be using the extrude tool and the edge loop tool to do the majority of the work to create this 3d model. Stay tuned–next week we’ll texture this bear.
