Started as an experiment with the particle info node, then decided to have a bit of fun with the concept. Created in Blender, rendered with Cycles over 2 weeks. Post processing in Premiere with Magic Bullet Looks.

  1. wonderful, now i feel more like a piece of shit then before, worked 18 hours, past 2 days on one project only to realise that the reference images i used were inaccurate (its a jet from ww2)

  2. Here's a bit of an odd question.
can you set up particles to emit when they are hit by certain objects? i was thinking of making a sword fight once and i wondered if i could have the swords emit some sort of sparks when they collide.

  3. Beautiful! But true icing on the cake would be a dim orange glow on the edge of the spinning saw. Those things get pretty hot within seconds due to extreme friction. Was working on a custom case mod a little while ago so this popped up on my head.

  4. Yes I did it! All you have to do is reduce the timestep to 0.01. Increase particle lifespan to 150(or whatever best fits your needs), and you can decrease the number of particles if you want.

Cut gravity by half and there you should have slow motion. Check out my short spark clip. watch?v=YnSV3behpPU
