Easily control the luminosity of each color using blend modes in Photoshop! Learn how to use the right numbers to get accurate tones to begin with. In this tutorial, we will make the Colors Pop by using several Adjustment Layers like Black and White, Curves, and even Solid Color.

  1. First off… incredible tutorial once again. Thank you so much!! Second (and this is totally just out of curiosity here) what's the reason behind making sure to start from the neutral value if the intent is to play around with the sliders until you find what you like anyways? Just curious. Either way, your method for finding the perfect neutral numbers is so cool! I love the way your mind works to solve problems in photoshop! You're brilliant!

  2. Or you could do the same by opening the layer in a camera raw filter, or cmd+opt+a (ctrl+alt+a).

    The only difference is it'll be baked into that layer as opposed to maintaining the flexibility of having a layer in your stack controlling it.
