my favorite blur is the smart blur. I use it on my landscape images to create block-in colors as an underpainting. I then create a watercolor image out of them

I like so much  radial blur in Photoshop you no need extra softwares. you need more time but better results in this case. you are a good teacher.

I honestly liked the before better. Although a bit dull as you said, it looked way more natural. Sorry but that's my opinion.

In France, they have a pretty nice word for this: "Gratuit". It means that useless effects don't contribute significantly to an image. When you take a look thru a viewfinder, you're never see any light filters like these… In matter of fact, landscape is not photoshop… Trip on motion blur… Wear off your glasses, you'll see the same, in a natural way

The whole point of watching photoshop tutorials is to learn the technique instead of judging whether the example editing is good or bad. As long as you learn the technique, you can apply it to improve your photo according to your own taste. In this sense, I think a lot of comments here are just silly.

Not to doubt your obvious knowledge of Photoshop…but this is a joke as you need to apply wisdom to your knowledge.

A lot of lenses achieve their maximum sharpness somewhere around F8.
