  1. Noooo the magic eraser is one of the most useful tools I use! a lot of times I need to make vectors or background-less, transparent images of things. the photos I usually come across on, are with just a plain white background, so I grab the magic eraser and delete the background.

  2. Maybe they exist because some legacy action might use it? But yes, these tools are mostly pretty rubbish, although I quite often use colour replacement tool to smooth out areas where the colour is a bit patchy but shouldn't be.

  3. hey, if you have any influence on Adobe, maybe make a video about an actual USEFUL tool which they ruined and never fixed: the 3D view. If you import a panorama, the 3D view opens up in low resolution, and so if you try to heal or patch to fix something (like removing the tripod from 360 panoramas) the brush picks up the low res detail, and its just ugly.
It worked fine before! After about v19.1.2 it was ruined and never fixed. All i got from Adobe support was promises. Nothing changed in a year now!

  4. I have been using Photoshop since Photoshop 3.0, not CS3, and have never used the tools you listed. When I first learned about masks, and smart objects and non-destructive editing I knew that was the way to go. I only wish I had some of the newer tools during my work career at The National Geographic Society. Not to alter ,change ,take awy, or add anything to the image, but with color, exposure, and contrast changes. We were not allowed to alter the image to present anything that was not factual.
