So two months ago I decided I wanted to make another Transformer. (God knows I have made a LOT of them)
I really thought my Helicopter one would be the last but it seems I was wrong.
As work progressed quickly and better than ever I realized I have become much more fluent with rigging… animation to some extent as well.
I’m very happy with the result. The transformation is built into the rig with some cool driven key joint animations and blendshapes.

so to do a transformer you would have to model the car and transformer separately? and then rig every thing?

Well damn nice work, I thought nobody ever did this type of rigging, mine is super complicated compared to this but then again i had no clue what I was doing.

Hey did you use bvh motion files for the animations? Or did you rig it mannualy? If yes, what plugins did you use to rig/ animate?
I was wondering.. how good are the rigging/ animations in Maya in comparsion to Cinema 4D? For example, in Cinema 4d, after you have rigged a model you have to use the weight tool. It's so hard to rig in C4d… Do you have to do that in Maya? If not, i might… learn it lol.
