Tutorial: How to Create a Panorama (Shooting & Stitching)



I am showing you step by step how I create a panorama. From setting up your equipment, over tips and tricks on how to take the individual photos , all the way to how to stitch them into one wide-angle panorama – accompany me from the very beginning up to saving your final panorama.
In this tutorial we will use 3DVista Stitcher as the software to stitch the images. You can download a free trial from here:

  7. 3:15 – Based on the tripod shown in the video, It would be better to remove the conventional head and use only the panoramic head (with an optional leveler) directly to the tripod base. This way the undesired handlers would not appear in the images, providing cleaner photos to work with. 😉

  11. 3dvista: Nice video but, I see ¿a little? error.
    In the video I can see that you have the Af activated; that isn't a good idea. You have de risk that each photo have focus to different distance. I think that in this kind of panoramas (360° for example), the focus must be the same in all photos.

  12. Thanks for the useful video. I have my Samyang 8mm Fisheye Lens (for my Samsung NX300 Mirrorless Camera) – But stuck on the Panohead to get. Nodal Ninja do different versions of their Pano Head so unsure on which one will fit. Any recommendations?
