Explaining basics in lists
Lips smAcks
Oh no.
Its difficult to find a truly beginner based tutorial series. It would probably be a 100 video series or something just to understand the basics, so it seems like a difficult spot to be in for self teaching students. Any self teaching students out there, don't give up! 😉
Seems like this video series is more suited for people who are migrating from other 3D software. If not then these could use some work because the basics are not covered properly. Just a bit of critique here. Using unexplained terminology and listing off arbitrary menu items and preferences with no real direction probably won't be so useful to people who are getting their feet wet in 3D.
no sound =((
I might go back to 3ds max since I really wanted to model zheng he's ship and Im having trouble in using maya.
Did you burp at 15:18?!?
10:25. How did you click and drag the object?
Can't rotate around a simple vertice which is a very needed feature, how is it done ? I tried 'd' after selecting 'rotate' and pressed d again to select it and released key, but still nothing. Any idea ?
The smacking was a bit distracting.
Also attempt to keep your video's short and concise. Most people are looking for instruction not commentary.
