  1. dude, I'm only 1/3 of the way thru the video …. you go … do your thing …
The fact that the first minute you said you dont know specifics about anything did not turn me away ….. I'm hoping its a clincher

  2. The Xeon E5-2670 8 core 2.6ghz scores 966 on Cinebench R15. lets be kind and say perfect scaling that 2 chips score 1,932(unrealistic). The 980Ti was 1.7 times faster in the BMW benchmark which would equate to about 3284 points.
The 16 core Threadripper socres 3416 points, without an overclock, will be around $1,000 and you can also subtract the price of a new GPU from your build, and as a bonus it will not be limited by graphics memory at rendering.( top of the line 1080tis or Titans have only 11-12 GB Vram).
So to sum it up, $1,000 CPU superior to a 980ti with upgradeable RAM. Ryzen Threadripper CPUs will support up to 1TB of RAM when 128GB LR-DIMMs are used.

  3. Im thinking about my next PC for blender and i think i can do away with a GPU, and just use an old video card or my current one. THE BEST NEW BLENDER PC WILL BE > AMD Threadripper 16 core 32 thread(superior to a 22 core intel Xeon in ciniebench), 32GB DDR4 RAM, no expensive GPU, the motherboard will be highly upgradeable for RAM or GPUs if you want, the architecture supports 64 PCIE lanes. End result will be similar rendering speed to a 1080ti but memory limitations will be down to DRAM not video ram.

  4. what is the idea behind using 2 xeons instead of a i7 ..? and can you please refer a latest motherboard which supports DDR4 RAM along with all others you have used here like dual CPU?

  5. Better buy 64gb kit you have manufacturer warranties that will work properly which is not always the norm at such quantity. As practice shows it is not so easy to buy some more memory.
64gb buy separately and such amount of money is a fatal idea, risk what we buy everything and do not buy another 32gb …
No ecc for xenon really? For me it's not a workstation that gave up the stability (ecc).
