In this video I show you how I sculpt a viking character using Blender (Dynamic Topology) and how I set up the precedural shaders. In addition I will talk about the free – pay-what-you-want thing I started in the last video. Skip the bla bla and start the viking timelapse at 04:30 min. 😉

  1. Cool Viking! One question: how do you ensure a smooth transition when directly vertex painting? When I paint it can be going fine until I get near a crease or the end of the object, Blender's painting system has this annoying cut-off effect. From my experience trying out Substance Painter, it seems to handle edges well generally avoiding the aliased cutoff.

  2. I looked at Brackey's Sci-fi weapons for a while before down loading it, but I also donated.

So, I suggest making the low quality assets pay what you want and then do a med tier and ultimate.

    should work out fine.

  3. Paying for quality tools and courses is not losing money but an important investment, after 6 months I finally could afford a drawing tablet using my savings.

I start using blender in November 2016 (but try 3D modeling about 1 year before that) and like any amateur artist I learn from video tutorials.

Zacharias, you video will help me to make my first fully sculpt character. If I save some money I will donate to make this awesome work continues, I'm not the type of person that forget to pay his debts. Right now I'm forever thankful.

P.s. Hello from Paraguay and have a nice day 🙂

  5. Dude, you're a great artist, charge money for your stuff, unless you want to be a "charity" where 2% pays for the other 98% to get products for free. If they're not willing to pay you from premium tutorials, they are not worth your time.
