QUOTES:

“Pain is truly the only thing that’s ever gotten me to change. So, it’s been my growth accelerator as well as my reminder of when I’ve gone astray.” [3:38]

“If we can develop that, the wherewithal to have the awareness around the circumstances surrounding whatever event it is, that you can leverage that crack in the door, that door cracking open, or that line in the sand to make some significant changes.” [12:40]

“I can tell you that I’m happiest and most alive when I’m butting up against the outer edges of my pain threshold” [14:40]

“I think that most people set the wrong goals for themselves, and it’s because they’re disconnected from who they are. They are living someone else’s life, or they’re living a life that’s so disconnected from who they are that … And they’re living a life that they didn’t consciously choose for themselves, and because they don’t have a healthy relationship with themselves, with their interior life, it becomes very difficult to set the right goals.” [24:01]

“It’s easy to say, I’m an outlier. But, I’m not. I really am not anything special. I had the courage and the audacity to pursue these things. And, in so doing, I have realized that human potential is malleable. We’re all sitting atop massive reservoirs of untapped potential and ability.” [35:35]

Anyone else agrees that Rich's brain seems to be on fire while he was talking?! SO MUCH VALUE. So many ideas that I've never heard of.
I think we should all take more time and TURN INSIDE. DISCOVER who we are and the REASON why we were brought onto this planet!

I just want to say thank you! Tom, you and your Team are doing an amazing job always asking the right questions. Even though, your guests are insanely successful people in any way I can imagine, the concept of your show and how you ask your questions and lead the interview carves out the real value. I wish you could do the same in different languages to reach more people.. maybe an international team would open up even more insights of how to become legendary. Thanks, Marc from Germany

Anyone else would have preferred Rich Roll to have been featured on Health Theory rather than impact Theory? Seems like some wires got crossed and Tom got another low carber instead.

Nonetheless, glad to see Rich getting some love. ✌️

REMOVE ADS! Tom, I hate your injected ads. You are double dipping and screwed YouTube Red Premium subscribers who cannot remove injected ads in the content. Shame on you for wasting our time to cover your comic book costs.

Rich is a fucking beast, the fact that he is so calm only tell me that he is so meticulously in his thinking and so decisive in his action that he doesn't talk for talking sake, this episode remind me a bit of David Goggins, perfect example of: No Bullshit What Would It Take

Rich is moving my needle forwards in positive ways . Going to listen again , but now take notes 👍 . I haven’t got a book recommendation , but a interview segment , where Joe Rogan interviews Guy Richi and they have a difference of opinion (nuance) 🤜🤛 Titled ( you must be the master of your own kingdom ) . Guy Richie also talks about story telling in film , books and legends 😉

First heard of him because back in the day when I heard of David Goggins on your show he was one of the few other people who had done an interview with him. Seems like a pretty good dude I only knew fragments of his story. From time to time I'll check out his podcast too which also has great guest as well

What is the point of Impact Theory? Why are the podcasts so short? I think London Real did a three hour podcast with Rich Roll, there really is no point in listening to this one, like, there really is no point compared to the detail in the London Real one. Is Tom trying to recreate the podcast wheel, OH WE COULD START MAKING REALLY SHORT PODCASTS INSTEAD OF LONG ONES!!! [said in his way over the top voice].
Also, [and this may only get said on the podcast, not the videos], why is Tom trying so hard to 'create a community'? Calling the listeners 'Impactivists'? Communities will form where they will form, no point having it as the main aim. And so many ads for such a short podcast (audio, they might not be on this video).
