I am a Jack of all trades computer tech residing in Ontario Canada. I am by no means a pro photographer or graphic designer, but I do dabble. Often I learn many programs just so I can assist my customers who use them. I can usually figure out how things work, but I am no artist. I created this video originally to share with my local photography club. 1. I found this video very helpful. The teaching is effective . I like his style and method of presentation. On a five star basis, I would rate Chris Varga as a four plus. I was a highschool teacher for thirty plus years and I feel that Chris Varga is one of the good ones.

  2. It's 2018 and still very helpful. I lost the ability to easily edit and the "fine tune" put everything right back where it was. Don't know how it got changed but have it back now. Thanks so much!

  3. This program is obviously exactly what I need to edit my product photos for my jewelry business. My one and only question is: is it safe to download this program onto my new computer running Windows 7? I've read that it may no longer be supported and when that happens, as I found out with my old computer running Windows XP, slowly but surely the lack of updates started conflicting with various programs that were receiving updates until my whole computer crashed and could not be revived. So, to your knowledge, and here we are in 2017, will this continue to be supported by Microsoft and is it safe to download it?

  4. I watched the whole video hoping you would go over Adjust Detail.
I always liked the program as a quick and relatively effective editing program – way more programs should take the hint, keep it simply and add add on for those who want more [and charge for same if its appropriate]. I went to Mac when MSFT Win 10 started screwing it up, along with a lot of other things. Now I find AAPL photo editing is an absolute disaster – probably due to the massive revolution in the photo industry and am considering going back to Win

    Couple of other questions:
What is the difference between LIVE PHOTO GALLERY and PHOTO GALLERY
Can photos be stored in my own folder hierarchy?
Do the pictures have to be in My Photos to edit; can I edit from my own folder hierarchy?
    Can Raw be edited

  5. ' have just noticed that in Windows Photo Gallery that when using "edit" the 'shadow' and highlight' functions are returning to the center setting every time I close the photo and reopen it. I checked photos that were edited three years ago and it's doing the same with those. This is a huge problem when I have thousands of edited photos. I believe this must be some problem with Windows 10. I had Windows 7 before. This makes it unuseable. Anyone else?

  6. Hi Chris, Thanks for the great video. I have a question I didn't see addressed. I have several pictures that I want to upload to some Buy/Sell/Trade sites on Facebook. Is there a way to add all the information, price, etc. in the Photo Gallery so all I have to do is upload them to the sites? I have too many pictures to retype everything on every site! Thank you!

  7. Hi Chris. Your video helped me quite a bit. I am still trying to navigate around the different screens in Windows Live Photo Gallery, though. I don't know how to get the display of the library folders on the left of the screen. Help!

  8. Where do I find Windows Live Photo Gallery on my computer (windows 7)
I would like to import pics from camera to computer with it can't find it.  There is no window that comes on to chose that when I plug in my camera to the computer.

  9. I can't save my edits.  I have tried using the next arrow and clicking on the close file button.  Nothing works.  What am I doing wrong.?  I am using windows 7 and do not have McAfee.  Any thanks would be greatly appreciated.
