none of my texture maps were sent to maya, its just my mesh at sub level2.
so many polygons… is there a tutorial on how to bake the mesh?
why all time saying maya, cant i take my mudbox project in 3d max ? :O omg just dont say no… i dont know maya.. mine is max.. cant i render my mudbox project in max?
Once i sent it to Maya i just got a blank Maya file with no model!
great vids!!
I tried send to Maya from Mudbox on both 2014 editions. Maya opens up but there is nothing in the scene. I've read somewhere that both programs have to be on the C drive explicitly for this to work and I'm curious if this is true?
The Send to Maya or Send to Mudbox commands only work if both programs are the same year (ex Mudbox 2014 w/ Maya 2014). It is NOT backwards compatible.
the send to function doesn't work on 2014
You have to have the same version of maya and mudbox to use the "send to" function, as in mudbox 2013 and maya 2013.
try an engine and yeah maya and mudbix will do it
Great videos thanks!
you sound like KIPKAY!!!

@mixinghoney yeah it does. as long as the program opens fbx it will work. 3ds max is also from autodesk so you can transfer objects program through program with no problem
Yes it works with 3dsmax, just use the "Mudwalker" plugin!
can i work with 3Ds Max too?
does this work with 3ds max?
Wow, that is really cool. Would the "Send to Maya" option work on previous versions of Maya as well? For example if I have Maya 2010, would it still work?
