This is something that comes up a lot in sci-fi, in fact the same kind of thing gets used in anime a fair bit too.

  1. When I add noise texture it just becomes completely white, I have everything connected and even if I change the values it still remains white and the same thing is happening with wave texture too can anyone help please.

  2. You went a little fast at times and I had to back up to see what I had just missed but otherwise a top-notch tutorial.

I took it one step farther and put a ship inside the wormhole. I got it to match the path by having it track to the head bone of the armature. The lighting of the wormhole interacts with the anisotropic and shiny surfaces of the ship so it looks like it's really flying through.

  3. Hi, when adding in the noise texture to get some of those speed lines, the noise doesn't move with the stars. How do I get it to follow?

EDIT: nevermind…. I had to switch the UVS great tutorial by the way! purchased the package!

  4. Just had a bash at this, all was going well until I tried to do the UV Mask, I followed the tutorial, double checked everything, but for some reason, instead of it blending the seam on the texture away, I ended up with 2 seams. Any ideas?

  5. Please help! So I got to the step where you add the noise texture node, but when I do ctrl+shift+click, the screen in the camera view goes white, and there is no noise effect! I decided to skip it and go to the wave texture step, but when I pressed ctrl+shift+click, it did the same thing! I don't know what I did wrong :/

  6. im not going to use this tutorial at all…

however I am going to use many of the awesome things I learned from it to do some amazing things, all of which wouldve been too difficult to do before i watched this… its not what you teach, its how you teach it,

    🙂
