  1. bro i have recently brought graphic tablet i don't know how to enable or disable pressure sensitivity
if the hand with thumb option is in blue means enabled or disabled pressure sensitivity i am not sure what it is could you tell me what it is and how to use

  2. Anyone serious and who want to have less rsi problem(don't worry you will get them)is using a space navigator +wacom tablet to sculpt and modeling. Nothing can beat the precision of the 3d mouse to move around the object and with the wacom you are in heaven. Speed up your workflow about 30% in both sculpting and modeling. Beware once you use one you will never want to work without it for the rest of your life.

  3. just wondering are people using graphic tablets for modeling too? like extruding mesh, grabing object/mesh, rotating…. i find it difficult so i wonder is it worth learning

  4. that was a really bad comparison between using a pencil and a mouse. what do you mean we can't apply different pressures with a pencil on paper? the less pressure we apply to a pencil, the lighter the drawing will be. using a pencil on paper is not the same as using a mouse bro. u have utmost control with a pencil. don't u mean using a tablet is equivalent to using a pencil but in digital form?

  5. Totally agree that a tablet is completely different from a mouse when it comes to sculpting.

But for those who are lusting after their first tablet, I have to say I don’t think you absolutely have to spend a ton. I have the cheapest tablet wacom ever made – fun bamboo, I think it’s called. Got it when they had some special deal on about 4 years ago. Less than £30 and it still works perfectly. Best money I ever spent on any kind of computer gear.

I use it for everything these days – even spreadsheets – it’s that comfortable. I’ve never used any other kind of tablet and I guess the more expensive ones are better, but if mine broke tomorrow, I’d happily replace it with one of wacom’s cheapest.

Now, it’s true that my sculpting sucks, but I’ve never once thought wow, this tablet is holding me back. (And believe me, there's nothing I like more than finding an excuse if I possibly can.) The tablet is great. It’s the skillz that need work. 🙂

  6. I'm not concerned about the money, I have the Wacom MobileStudio Pro 16 LOL
My concern is I am so used to working with Blender using a mouse, it's hard for me to adjust to the pen workflow, I have memorized at least 120 shortcut keys, and remapping those shortcuts to the express keys and my expresskey remote, it's just frustrating, I want to sculpt dammit, so I just return to old habits.

  7. With a 3D mouse you can move the camera with one hand and move the camera in all 5 axis while with one hand and sculpt with a pen on the other hand simultaneously
Now I only need a foot keyboard to change tools on the fly or something IDK…? xD (the drivers for the 3D mouse is pretty shit last time I used it, but you don't need the driver for blender as it can use it with it's own driver or something … IDK it's plug and play (wait for windows to recognize it as a USB device)

The 3D mouse is kind of a gimmick but when it comes to aiming the camera around to get the exact angle you want nothing can beat it in the speed of witch you can find it
also works for zooming in and out in the 2D view-ports like the Timeline, UV and node Editor witch is just awesome.

  8. ive thought about getting one. I dont have a lot of money and i might end up not really being in to sculpting.
is there a budget one that you could recommend ?
also do you use one of those 3D knobs for moving around ?

  9. I guess ive been using chopsticks all my life haha. seriously though it is not actually impossible to sculpt with a mouse. It just takes longer to learn to use it properly. never had a tablet so i dont know if it will be better or worse for me. but i pretty enjoy using my mouse as is so.. yeah

  10. 2 years in the Youtube tutorial game taught me that people will always ask about tablets! And about your computer specs too 🙂
Anyway I check your videos from time to time, and they're really cool. They make you want to do sculpting. Thanks!
