I seriously appreciate guys like you who take the time to make videos like this. I've already watched a number of Blender tutorials, but truthfully, I've learned something useful and new with every single video I've watched, even if it covers the same material. I guess repetition is key. Anyway, I'm looking forward to watching the rest of your videos. Thanks for doing this! 🙂
First of all, you really do a great job of explaining the subject. But this software and what you must learn just seems so primitive, for what you get out of it. If this were lunch, and I wanted a hamburger, I'd have to begin by taking a trip out to the country and finding a farmer that will sell me a cow.
When you see a feature-length 3D movie it seems they must have had several hundred thousand guys, working for many years to produce something like that. Or once you get the basics, does something open up and tell you it's all a joke, now here is the easy way to create a realistic 3D dragon that will swoop down and light up the butt of my x-wife! 🙂
Dude, you are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I put Blender on hold for a while because I thought it would be too difficult to muster. But on Monday I installed it … Wednesday I downloaded your tutorials, and today, on Friday, I feel like I already have the hang of it all. A more brilliant tutor no-one could ever wish for. You are brilliant!! Thank you so much.
When I first opened blender, it was a square, not a cube.
what if you dont have a number pad?
Thumb up

Thanks. I have a problem though… Every time I click user preferences, the window itself disappears into the desktop. Like it closes. Yet I did not click the X.
Very nice video! I love how the first tutorial explains interface. This is the perfect way to go about teaching someone a program. I hate when people just jump in with a bunch of shortcuts and I can't find anything in the program and I really don't understand the interface. I am BRAND NEW to blender and this was very helpful. You are clear and I could follow you easily. I will be subscribing to your channel.
I hope your gonna keep making more these videos I really wanna make a zombie game!
Thank you for making it make noob friendly
Thank you. I like the way you are approaching this. I just downloaded blender and will be watching the rest of the Blender vids.
Just downloaded Blender 2.70a. This tutorial is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Thank you sooooooooooooooo much!!! ^__^
No offense but if you're just learning Blender yourself and new to the whole 3D modeling and animation stuff, what makes you qualified to teach other people? When happens if halfway through the tutorial you're facing a problem that you don't know how to deal with? How can I be sure that you know enough to adequately teach me?
Thanks dude! I thought it would be a good idea to pick up some project for this summer and I decided to learn 3D animation. As I haven't done any animation before blender looked extremely confusing. But now it makes more sense.
ahhh this is so cool thanks!
Thanks. I enjoy videos that are to the point yet explains a little around why things are they way it is.
Great intro! I installed Blender, was intimidated by the interface, I looked for an tutorial on youtube and stumbled on yours. I'm glad I did! Thanks!
I am 13 watching with dad
great work- useful
thanks
this video realy helps I want to use it more often but it is all just alien to me
Thank you, very informative. Looking forward to the others!
Just wanted to let you know that a lot of people do not have the full understanding of how to teach people in a tutorial. You, however, have mastered the art of teaching and I thank you x 3.
This was a great help! Keep it up!
great overview – thank you 🙂 off to watch your second video now!
Thank you for these tutorials! They are absolutly helpful and just what I needed to get started with Blender.
What happened to leaving a link in the description for the wikibook thing? Just wondering.
Nice tutorial. Very Fluent, no hesitation instructions, And informative for an absolute beginner
all i can say is omg thank you. I can't tell you how many times i've downloaded blender, opened it, stared at it for 10 minutes, closed it and uninstalled it. Short and to the point. thank you so much!
Really great introductory video. Great teaching and love how you take this ridiculously intricate interface and make it simple! Great job.
Great video, very clear and easy to follow. Thanks very much!
hi, suddenly, the face
dots when in face mode doesnt show..
how can i make it show..?
please help…
its sounds like someone is taking a shower in the backgrground
Just getting into blender and you saved me so much time with the emulate number pad! this is the first tutorial I have watch that showed this setting, thank you!
I just got a copy of Blender and was looking for a good tutorial when I happened on this one. Your comment was a big help as I'm also hearing-impaired (from the military). It's not often you can find subtitles accompanying videos and when you do they're often either frustrating or completely hilarious. 🙂
Thanks for the input.
:O very good video, im gonna keep watching
You make me subscribed friend, good tutorial and explanation I'm starting to used blender and your tutorial help I will definitely will watch your video. Looking forward for more videos. Keep it up.
i give up!!
Thanks for your videos Jacob! Nice and clear, to the point, and targeted for the beginner. I'll be watching all of them.
Cheers.
Thank you sir!
yeah totally, the way it's narrated, & the way the simplicity is maintained it should be popular 🙂
Thanks SO much dude!
Best tutorial so far
my dog was barking at you XD
1st thing, restart your computer and try again. If it persists, re-install blender and try again. If it still happens, post your computer specs (processor, GPU, Operating System) and we can try to help more.
help me. there is a bug at my blender. when i go to user preferences, its just like a window with nothing in it. then its unresponsive. u cant minimize, close , or maximize it. and when u move the window around, it multiplies into many windows.
hey thanks for making these tutorials although i haven't watched them all yet i'm looking into that wiki link that you gave and gonna watch the tutorials as I read the wiki book (because usually visual tutorials are easier to learn (for me) 😀
Google Blender tutorials pdf. Also, type in Gryllus Blender pdf tutorials. When you are on Gryllius dot net website, scroll furtherest down the page to find pdg tutorials. To open pdf pages, you will need Adobe Reader, which is free to download.
Thank you so much for these vids and the link, I've been trying to get my channel off the ground but I needed a better opening then a simple picture flipping or fading in and out and this helped me so much, if anyone asks me how to do things like this I'll direct them here.
