In this Video Tutorial I cover how to:
1) Navigate (zoom/orbit/pan) in a 3D environment
2) Select, Move, Rotate and Scale Objects using keyboarding shortcuts and the Gizmo
3) Add Objects (meshes) to the Scene.

oh man, wicked, finally found a great tutorial series for blender. I want to make a 3d animated minecraft character (the one from my avatar) that presents my channel, hope this will help me realize it : Subbed to you. Lets get started 🙂
Awesome tutorials Dude!
Hey look. A series of detailed tutorials for a free program that don't cost money to watch.
I'm not sure if I suck at aiming the mouse or what's up, but I can't seem to select the rotating "hula hoops" when using that tool. Is there a trick to it? I keep moving the cross-hairs around.
thnx… it helped me alot… can you tell me an open source for 2D animation
You´re great! thanks : )
Whenever I am trying to select other object like camera, light the screen cursor (that circular thing whose cordinate is (0,0) on applying shift+c, what should i do?
I watched many videos for Blender but the way you explained the difference between Persp and Ortho (no one did explain the same) really was so helpful and informative….great work
i've been on this tutorial for 4 years lmao
Do you do modeling on blender for other people
for an absolute beginner, there is no better tutorial series on YouTube than this. I've seen other tutorial videos where the tutor will ramble and mutter and introduce various asides ("don't do this, I'm just showing you"), then undo it all to get back on track, and then suddenly click a dozen things in rapid succession without clearly explaining what just happened. Usually you can figure out what happened by re-watching the sequence several times, but BornCG does none of that. Every keystroke and mouse click is explained very clearly in a linear fashion from beginning to end.
That said, it doesn't hurt to follow other tutorials too: There are many different ways to achieve a desired result and it's useful to see how different tutors do it, but again, if you're new to 3d modeling then BornGC's tutorials are certainly the best place to start.
Great stuff. +1 with 3d knobs on.
lovely way of teaching. Thanks!
Heyy born!
how do you make that mouse and key thing? I mean the thing that shows us what you do
谢谢,帮了大忙~ 讲得很详细。
omg the intro
When I press my mouse wheel nothing happens. It shows me a sand clock instead the cursor, Then it freezes.
Thanks for posting these tutorials!I just turned seventeen and I wanted to work on animation as a hobby for scientific studies. And this video is brilliant! You speak so clearly your instructions are so easy to understand, I can't wait to see more tutorials!
great vids but can u please make the shorter cuz it gets kinda boring!
bruh, ur legend
press ctrl number pad and hear what happens
Excellent tutorials! I am new to Blender and I like your style very much.
I am sorry if you had been asked and answered this question before…. What software do you use to create your tutorials? Looks very nice and this feature of showing mouse and numpad keys is very helpful.
Thanks in advance!
Very nice, but I think you should have added that when using S, G or R, you can also press X,Y and Z to lock the transformation to that axis and press it a second time to switch between object-bound axis and space-bound axis.
Thanks! Really clear and helpful.
Peace
Hi Sir,
I am your new student, I just finished the 1st tutorial and wrote it on my notebook too,
very helpful and useful. . .
Thanks for this <3
Was your intro built using Blender?
you're the best out there… you're just the best. CAPITAL THANKS!
Phenomenal instructor! Thank you!
awesome
Figured something out – with a numpad on Blender 2.78 2,4,6,8 work like arrow keys – 4 & 6 turn left and right, while 8 & 2 turn up and down.
Hello. I just wanted to say that though I just finished my first video after having started a very long while ago because of massive amounts of procrastination, I found the video amazing and enormously helpful and I have no doubt the coming videos will just as awesome 😀
I had question, once I have selected an object (camera/lights/mesh) using my right click button is there any way of de-selecting the selected object?
Once again thanks for the awesome tutorial and tutorials I'll hopefully go through. Cheers :3
Thank you!.
so i need to buy mouse 🙄 alright
Bro U caN also use ctrl -to zoom out and ctrl+ to zoom out
20 seconds intro? FOR THE WHOLE SERIES OR WHAT??
Very helpful tutorial. Thanks!
Num. Pads: 1, 3, 7 + 9 work wonders — don't have to hold control…
precise.
The new multitouch Mac trackpads let you orbit easily by dragging two fingers. Zoom with fingers apart and out with fingers together. It's really not difficult
I physically can't use a mouse, so I'm using the apple trackpad. This is going to be hard..,
why cant i move in two axies at once like i do in max, like in y and x at the same time, same with scaling,
How were you able to leave the screencast keys enabled on start up in Blender? I see it is already sitting there at the lower left hand corner of the 3d view port when you first start Blender and still had the splash screen up. Thank you so much, this is a great series, I am learning so much.
You are so awesome. The effort you have put into this is pretty amazing. That you are sharing your hard work for free is great. I cant tell you how much I appreciate your efforts. Thanks a lot. Im going to do every lesson.
user preference in input tab for all those with laptops. has 3 button an numpad emulation. in case that info hasn't been shared, or too many comments to scroll through.
gracias me sirve mucho
Can u suggest me anyone, which one is good 3d between Blender Or Maya ?
Change Right mouse button to Left mouse button in File–user pref.–input–mouse left
