You've been to PNG wow! Nice. Good content needed this information thanks
Hugely valuable vid. Thanks for sharing. Has solidified that I need to upgrade glass and get a 16-35. Been working around w/ a few different options for Ultra Wide and haven't found anything I can use that's so versatile: Canon 10-18, Canon 24mm, Sigma 10-20, nothing is what I'm going for. Will look to try the L-series for my next purchase at my local store. Appreciate it!
I really enjoyed the tips on your photography. Thanks!
Excellent video!
Oh, this was very helpful in my initiation with wide angle lenses, very well explained.
Thanks for the video.
I'm very interested in capturing stories of people and lanscapes..

THANK YOU – amazing video and helped me make up my mind as to my next purchase! My only questions is how in the party/dancing photos did the photo not come out blurry when you were set at such a slow shutter speed?
Absolutely superb video. Helped me tremendously

Hi, I have canon 1300D. I want to make short film on this camera which one best wide angle lens appropriate for this camera.plz guide me
Great job. Thank you.
This is a great video thank you so much!!!
Wow, Tom, thanks so much for this video. I've been stuck with a 50mm (on an APS-C) for really a long time and just got a 24mm. It is not a really wide angle but I've found myself stuck and not knowing how, when and, most importantly, why use the wider lens. Your examples and warnings made perfect sense and I'll try to explore this aspects.
Hi awesome video:) Do you recommend the canon 10-18 stm ?
bogus
Great tutorial as I prepare to purchase a wide angle lens. Thanks. Jim
O Lorddd please speak faster mate. Get your points accross boom boom
Excellent
what is the differences between .35x wide angle vs 0.43 wide lens?
How is 16 mm WIDER than 24 mm?
Is it illegal to shot street photos in Australia?
and I love your images, of the children capturing their smiles. very inspiring
great vid. I agree, I picked up a canon efs 10-18 STM IS lens last year for my 7d and I agree with what you said. cool for outdoors, landscape architecture and landscape. I prefer to use it for night cityscape shots. I also have a Sigma 24-70 2.8 DG for my 5d mkII for everything else. I def want to try a prime 35mm or 24mm 1.4
Thanks for the lesson. Very good info.
Great tops on the wide angle lens. I am going towards a Tamron 16- 300mm. Maybe the tokina 11-24 mm. I have a Nikon 5100 and before that the Nikon 40 w 18-270 mm lens.
Back in the day I would use a Nikon F with 50 1.4 and 35 mm to shoot weddings. I look forward to more of your videos
very informative thanks for sharing your knowledge, i love listening to the stories and experience behind each photograph.
Excellent! Thank you for sharing.
Loved this Vid. My next purchase will be a wide lens. Thanks
Excellent video, lovely pictures. I am Sydney based and an enthusiast. Shooting with 25mm and 35mm a lot these days on the street. Do you have photo walks? Would love a 1:1
Hi there Tom,
A really educational video indeed. I am a language teacher by vocation and I really think you did a good job of selling yourself in this video.
I have been on the look out for a wide angle lens for a few months now and have watched countless videos however hardly anyone explains in detail as well as you do.
You actually give specs on your photos which is a great reference for a learner or novice who cannot cannot understand completely iso versus speed versus aperture.
I was going to ask you which wide ( ultra wide ) angle lens you would recommend but I see your ( L ) lens are primarily for those not on a budget (!)
Your explainations make this video so much more.
Many thanks
what camera have you been using
Awesome
Great pictures, I really enjoyed viewing them. Thank you for sharing them.
Great video! Very well explained! 😉
hi, which brand wide angle lenses are much better at image quality nikon or canon?
Thank you, this is most helpful. Cheers
Very nice and I learned some useful tips. I am assuming the camera you were using was with a full frame sensor. Some people may need a reminder if they are using a camera with a smaller sensor to do the conversion to know the equivocal length. Cheers!
Canon 16-35mm F4 IS or 24-70mm F4 IS lens for movies? if you had to pick one…
Everything I wanted to know. Thank you! 🙂
I would like to thank you for this excellent teaching video. You truly drove home the point of composition. I learned so much more watching your video about composition and wide angle lens. So far, the best of its kinds. Cheers!
