Bei Time 6:34 (Remove Doubles) erscheint bei mir als Info "Removed 0 vertices". Bei Dir steht dort "Removed 2332 vertices". Ich benutze Blender vs 2.78. Meine "Markierung" der Mesh ist auch nicht orange sondern schwarz. Was mache ich falsch?

you can apply a remesh modifier to the text to fix the topoloogy…

Spent a long time pausing the video frame by frame trying to get the colors used in the first texture. They are:

Help, I'm stuck. I'm at the part with setting the spot lamp to a "Halo" but in blender 2.78 There's no option for halo or step. Many thanks.

There were a few things I missed even using pause like :
1. do you select both objects to save in garbage layer
2. are they still both selected when converted to mesh

Hi Blender Guru, thanks for your tutorials, I was trying to press u for getting UV mapping menu as mentioned @15:13 to get the menu but it always types u instead of providing the menu option, I tried with edit mode but could't get it what am I missing? anyone please suggest. I use 2.78.

cycles render supports volumetric lighting now, but how do i use it to get the same effect?

just gave up, worst tutorial ever, im not tring to be minbut im this type of person that understands things esily, ihave learnd photoshop and priemier mostly by my self using tutorials. im this type of guy that when ever he doesnt understand every bode agrees the problem is in the teacher and not in th student and this tutorial is just worst as f*** you need to have the nolege of how to make this type of stuff in this software in order to understand this tutorial. pleas do not delete that comment coz im not tring to a hater on anithing i just want ppl to that this tutorial is not for starters
nice tutorial but bearly understandable u use shotcuts way to much and its pretty anoying to make it i stiil havent finish it and im thinking about giving up and going for something easier think what it sais about you tutorial(sry for the writing mistakes im just way to pissed to fux it

This is WAY TO FAST for beginners. The result is a good one, but it is too freaking fast!
The S is always a little bigger with fonts. Actually all curves top or bottom stick out a little bit. This is because otherwise they would look smaler then the rest of the letters. It's just an optical trick to make it all look the same and easier on the eye to read.
Probably not the first to mention this, but I was too lazy to scroll through all the comments.

How do I exactly turn that plain mesh into a lamp? I'm using Blender version 2.77 and that option of surface is nowhere to be found. PS: Answer: Changing CYCLES RENDER up in the window resolves the problem.
