Hey can someone help me please. For some reason every time i render i am still seeing the sphere that the particles are supposed to be taking place of. Anything I'm doing wrong for selections?
I Use To Know This But How Did You Move Ur Sphere To Another Render Layer?
i can't join the sphere & lamp object ?
quick question. Im using Blender 2.70. Where is the step counter for making the smoke smoother? I dont see an Integration tab on mine.
thanks, I need to do shooting stars
THANKS MATE ๐
Hey man, Looks very good! Is there a special reason why you didn't use emission instead of a lamp?
I can't mae my particles go fast
Andrew I am very happy that you make all these beautiful tutorials thank for all the help in making fireworks.
Thanks for the help Andrew! I'm making a fan film for Aliens. I the space ship explodes, so I just needed a background to replace the green screen. Particle explosion in one file, firework explosion in the other.
Everything has gone fine until I get to the smoke part. My smoke either just sits there as a square mass not moving. I tried changing some settings but it either goes up or down. Can't get it to spread out like yours does.
I have a weird problem. I created a couple of fireworks and it worked great. However when I tried to create the same thing in my scene (a couple of mashes that rotate and a plane for background that changes its colour) my particle system is all messed up. The particles are created with an offset (quite noticeable) from the particle source (bad!) and to make things even worse – smoke is calculated as if everything is fine. Any advice is appreciated. ^_^
Thumb geil`?
page not found sir
Great tut. One of the best I've seen lots of tips although it will take me a couple of viewings to figure some stuff out. Thanks!
Maybe you should thumb up the fuckin video not your comment…
can i use a object with a particle system on it as a particle of a particle system?
thumbs up for 2.6 released in 2012
Great tutorial as usual. A question: For your particle object, you used a group of a lamp and sphere. Before I watched this tutorial, I naively tried something similar using just a small cube as the particle object. I gave the small cube a light-emitting material. And the effect was quite good (!!). Just wondered if you see any advantages of one method over the other? I can only say that mine seems simpler, but you are the guru and I am a noob. Thanks !
