Red barrels inc jajajajajajajajaaja nice one!
"Be glad you do indirect light by hand and learn something, you can put emotion in it and you have control over it etc." -> Still switch to cycles..
I would so like a tutorial on showing the outside of a house.
can we create this type of outdoor lighting in cycles?
The old goodies. 😀
The good old days when everything wasn't a commercial
looks like sfm lighting
2 years later. I get about 14 minutes in and then I have to stop. I have no understanding on how people can work this fast (or even speak that fast) I really would love to know this but have to look elsewhere. 2 years! Man…
pls help
hey there. I am using cycles and I put glossy material on cylinder. and when i pur image texture on it it turns black
how i stop repeating texture in cycles
btw guys if you want to use it in a game make a low poly version of it then bake normal and ambient oc and then put the maps on the thing use xNormal for the normal map if you want to bake it for udk unity or cryengine cause that way you can set y to y- and that gets normal map and ambient occ regular settings do well and there you go you have a game asset
I thought this scene was from half life.
Something about those barrels looks fake to me, but I can't quite place it… Awesome tutorial do!
Awesome tut as usual Andrew! And you're right about the barrels in vid games. FarCry3 Haha!
Hey guys, can someone, please, post notes for this in new version of blender (2.7 and above)? Or any advice how to do in in new version all these stuffs around texturing?
Great work!!!!
This is perfect speed. Lots of tutorials just go way too slow for me, but this one was perfect.
Aren't you glad for Cycles now 😀 that you don't have to do nearly all this?
I'm German but I understand you good! 😀
Very good tutorial,it's a bit old but very very very good(LIKE)! xD
Why are you not using cycles
You have an accent?
You did something at about 9.31 where you got two layers and the "grey window". How did you get there? I was following along up til that point.
I didn't understand why you need thr ambient lighting in a second layer.
Andrew, I really appreciate all of your tutorials and you do such a great job with them. Which is why I am asking you to do a game tutorial series. There are a lot out there but not many are quite as good as what your would be, even if it is just the basics like character creation and making him move and maybe map making. I would love to see that.
Hey man, I leaned so much from this tutorial, but I stil didn't get how you did the red lights in the barrels. What makes them not visable to the camera but the light does?
thanks
I can't find the Filter and most of the other nodes in blender 2.69, is there another way to fix this?
really great tutorial man. i feel like i learned a lot.
Fresnel is pronounced like "fray-nel". Named after the Frenchman who developed the Fresnel lens. Hence that darned silent S.
LMAO at the red barrels cliche. It goes back to DOOM, man! It's a shooter game tradition. Extra shit to blow up…
i didn't understand the last part where you explaned the nodes over the render..very difficult, but the other things are ok! thanks again GURU
thanks!
I just watched him model it to find out how to get proper lighting…
Is there by chance a way to make a realistic glass in internal.
Add more samples to your lamp.
the shadows of the bars on top I mean.
you are god.
AWESOME ! thanks !
Fantastic and very complete tutorials! Many thanks!
Sorry to be the knob of the group but the "ribs" on the side of the oil drum is so it can be rolled 🙂
Thank You for this great tutorial.
dude, if i want the outdoor lightning to look like in a cloudy day what can i do?
You cant free-render that shit.
to me, it was already amazing when you added the circle lol
