This one was a little challenging, but I enjoyed every bit of it 😀
The best tutorial, the exact speed, the best teacher. A masterpiece. Thanks!.

I cant subdivide the edges of the second ball for some reason?
this tutorial is the most difficult in his video because of blender varsion
Love the result you get! Just saying, you might want to remake this guide. There are a few stages that are not the same as yours anymore 🙁
Thank you soo much 🙂
this is a cool video want to watch more about blender
For anyone who has problems finding the Add Mesh: Regular Solids in Blender v2.78:
Go to File->User Preferances->Add Mesh->Do checkmark at "Add Mesh: Extra Objects"->Save User Settings->Close Window
Now press Shift A->Mesh->Math Function->Regular Solid
Now a window in the lower left corner appeared
On the bottom of that window you find "Presets". Click on it and choose "Truncated Icosahedron"

Another Great Tutorial from tutor4u, however Blender has moved on and the operation is slightly diffe4rent in Blender 2.78 , in the video at 0.46 an add-on is installed called "Add Mesh Regular Solids" this is no longer available and you should use the "Add Mesh Extra Objects" add-on , to create the shape on your desktop press shift A then move your mouse over to Mesh, Math Function, Regular Solid then once you have the shape on your desktop go to the Regular Solids Toolbar on the left of your screen and change the source to Icosahedron, also change the vertex truncation to 0.667, this will give you the same shape and you can carry on with the rest of the tutorial as is, it worked for me Brilliant Render, would love to know how to do a grass a white line ground for it though.
widely simpler and clearer than many other tutorial for the same object. Above all, the final result is also more realistic than many others.
In mesh option solid not avilable
how to make a 3d model pls upload video
Great solution for stitching, thanks again.
I have 2.79 and dont have archimedian mesh(
for some reason my camera view window was very small, and i also seem to have a crease along all the edges.. like pentagon and octagons are slight raised a half inch in from the edges.
This is a really good tutorial but oh my god is that highpoly. I waited for a segment on baking normals or something and none came for me.
Thanks for sharing this @tutor4u
I just realized this isn't a beginner's tutorial. Looks like I can really do this xD
