In this tutorial i’m showing how to create a car in blender with the cycles render engine. It was my first time and i didn’t had any knowledge about car modeling. I think that is a great point for a lot of people that are in the same position and good to know that it is possible to make a car from skratch with no knowledge. I can tell you some interesting learning points.

I recommend carblueprintsDOTinfo for car blueprints, and no, I'm not an advertiser ๐
a hint (in case you haven't tried it before):
================================
search on google for images with the following search criteria
"dimensions drawing"
ur voice + my head phones = head ache o_o
Nice tutorial! ๐ hope my car will look at least a little bit like the one on the blueprint ๐
hi! thanks for the video, it was really helpfull. I was wondering if you could tell me how i can use an image to paint the surface of the figure, the fact is that i need to use the 3D figure in an other program wich is call visTable, it use 3D figure to make diferent fabric modelsin 3D, but i havent been able to load up the figure that i made in blender with the color that i want. i want the same colors that apear in render but it just looks grey like in solid mode. Thanks
You spend more time talking about useless crap and less time talking about stuff that's actually needed to understand this
may i just say, great tutorial, and your voice sounds identical to mine.
Ha ha ha
You said your care has not very much detail but…
I think you made that excellent on your first try Good work keep it up.
pop pop pop pop….i create a sample..^^ ( 01:30 ) .lol.nice car dude.
gooooooodddd job men! you are a great artista!!! Finger up!!
Very nice man! specialy on your first car model. Im looking for a good blue print now! cars really arnt what i want to model, but … i think to learn something you should learn what your not planning on using much to give you the edge for wat you Are in fact after. Thanks for taking the time to put it up!
Click on where it says 'All views' in the background image options panel, then set it to whatever view you like.
This may be an ignorant question, but how to you set the individual views of the car as a background?
Thanks for the tutorial, may I suggest that in future, you enable the key indicator thingymajig, so we can see what keys you are pressing, I've watched a few various tutorials so I learnt a few of the short cuts, but had I not, this would have been reasonably hard to follow.
Great tutorial otherwise.

Are you from swedish
next tutorials to talk to much just start working
13:36. I tried to do this part several times, but have failed. Do you know the steps to merging the planes and then moving them at once? I am trying 3d modeling for the first time, so this stuff is not second nature to me. Thank you.
Thank you for this. I may actually have a chance to make a 3d model now.
Loved "Tears Of Steel"
apparently, blender guru did some work too, you know, andrew price?
Thanks for the pointers. I'm in the process of creating my first car in Blender (1980 Corvette) so we shall see how it goes. It seems is a right of passage for any Blender fan.
@ SteveG1007 – I worked on the environment scenes like the Amsterdam skyline and interior of the old church ๐
On my website is a link to the textures
You're the one who do the VFX of the Tears of Steal??
YOU ARE AWESOME.
By the way, where can I get the images of the car?
@ Kun Houssem – Thanx, normally i should never spend time on car modeling, but there were a lot of requests so i thought it was a good idea to try it out and show it from a viewport as a beginner ๐
My profession is environment modeling, so after this one you can expect a lot of that stuff on blenderpedia!
great tutorial …my thanks all the way from Algeria , and of course I have a request , please make a tutorial about making environments for games , PS i loved your work on tears of steal
